What is UMI?

UMI is you and me. UMI is a group of apps being developed to streamline the time we spend searching for and sharing information online. UMI was developed from research on narratives, and its main purpose is to capture stories of each individually lived experience.

Is it free, and how do I get it?

UMI can be accessed in Android and iOS Play Stores and is free of charge.

How do I use the UMI app?

UMI will have a similar interface to any other social media app, but there will be remarkable and noticeable differences in how you search for and interact with information.

What happens to my UMI stories?

Your stories are just that, your stories. You can choose to share or keep them private, and if you leave the platform, your data is deleted.
